Dressed In Black Flag – Live Performance

I have acquired the link to my live performance at the National Film Board for the feature film script, Dressed In Black Flag. The event was moderated by Tony Award nominee, Scott Wentworth, who provided great insight and feedback for the scenes presented. I had a lot of fun playing the lead characters, Captain Collins and Governor Rogers. Captain Collins appears in the beginning/middle sections and Governor Rogers appears near the end. I also met a lot of great actors at the read through and did some networking in the process.

You can also vote for our script to help us move onto the finals! Whereby, the winner moves on to do a full reading of the script. Please use the Watch Video link below to find the voting form underneath the video. Thank you very much!

Assisstant Producer – My Million Dollar Movie

A Romantic Comedy in which 2 guys fall for a girl who is committed to 6 other people.

It is the first feature film in history to be financed on line by the public.

I am currently an assistant producer on the feature film after purchasing 1 frame for $10, the price of a movie ticket! With that purchase I have the right to advertise my picture, e-mail & website: My Personal Frame.

It’s a great promotional tool to take advantage of due to the project’s popularity for their creative fund raising approach. Auditions are being held through audition/demo reels on their YouTube Group. I will be sending in my demo reel and perhaps another audition piece on top of that, if it’s allowed. The casting takes place mid-March, 2009.

Dressed in Black Flag – Feature Film Winner

I will be performing a read through of the feature film, Dressed in Black Flag, on February 27th, 2009 @ 7:00pm. I am performing the lead role of Captain Collins. The performance will take place at the National Film Board on 150 John Street in Toronto; View Map.

Independent Film Booked! Heaven vs Hell

I recently landed the lead role of Paul, the Devil, in an upcoming independent film called Heaven vs Hell, directed by Rick Jordan. The film is about hell deciding it’s time for the earth to end and heaven has to stop it. It’s a superhero film but using these two elements.

Rick is a talented director, actor, producer and singer. He currently has a short horror film named, I See You, in the top 20 at the Canada International Film Festival and is up for awards. He was also one of the singers on Canadian Idol. Check his website video, quite amazing.

It looks like all the big movie stars are doing superhero roles nowadays. I’ve always wanted to play one too! I will be shooting fire from my hands after all the special effects are put in. Should be a really fun role to play!

Attending ‘The Actor’s Symposium’

Daniel Reininghaus will be attending:

THE ACTORS’ SYPMOSIUM
(December 6-7, 2008)

actorssymposium

ABOUT THE ACTORS’ SYMPOSIUM
The Actors’ Symposium was born from the observation of its founders that, while gaining an education in the arts, most of the emerging actors in Canada haven’t been taught practical knowledge and applicable skills to succeed in a highly competitive business.

The two day, Actors’ Symposium will educate established and aspiring artists in their pursuit of a career in the exciting world of the performing arts.

INTRODUCING ARTISTS TO PROFESSIONALS
The unique congress of artists and professionals provides a forum for creative discussion and an opportunity to exercise and showcase the next tier of great performing artists in our nation.

OUR GOAL

The main objective of T.A.S. (The Actors’ Symposium) is to provide guidance and educate emerging and aspiring actors while introducing them to some of the key players within the industry.

Welcome to Daniel Reininghaus’ Official Website

Welcome to the Daniel Reininghaus Official Acting Site! I’m very proud of this accomplishment. This blog area will be used as my “acting diary” to reveal my progress in the acting world and as a means of communicating with future fans, mom and pop don’t count. I now have a great promotional/marketing tool that I can utilize in my quest for fortune and fame. I constructed a sleek and sexy business card as well, which gave me the inspiration for the sites overall design.

The card was printed with rounded corners and on a matte laminated paper stock. I received a FedEx package of 300 cards today from my Chinese friends all the way from Hong Kong. Xie xie ni! Here is a web image of my acting business card that you can check out but seeing and touching it in person is even more satisfying.
